October 2018 Fashion & Beauty Favourites

October is my favourite month of the year there are a couple of reasons why. Firstly it’s my birthday month haha so since my birthday is at the end of the month I feel like I can really claim it. Secondly spring is in full swing and the weather is perfect, I get to bring out some of my summer pieces and then pair them with my go to jackets.

Let’s start with Fashion:

  • Witchery Blazer

This blazer will never get old for me! I love how it instantly makes me feel like a girl boss when I put it on as they always make me feel put together and confident. This blazer has always been my go to blazer for work, but this month I’ve been wearing it for date night and going out for dinner with friends. I love how you can wear it with a nice dress or black pants to work and then you can pop on a pair of MOM jeans for dinner and you still look chic.

  • Bamboo Blonde Montana Maxi Dress

With the weather warming up this dress is becoming one of the most worn items in my wardrobe. I love how you can dress it down with some white sneakers or sandals or if you want to dress it up like I did for my birthday dinner, pop on some heels and a leather jacket and it’s that simple.

  • Pimkie Faux Leather Biker Jacket ASOS

Finding an affordable faux leather jacket can hard, but I managed to find this one a year ago on ASOS and its becoming a fav again after just hanging in my wardrobe for a long time. I love how it looks over my dresses at night and how it gives a simple outfit that bit of edge, especially when worn just over your shoulders.

Now it’s time for beauty:

  • Hourglass Caution Extreme Mascara

When my Bare Minerals mascara dried up I was really keen to just repurchase it, but while in Mecca the beautiful gold packaging on this mascara caught my eye. I’ve been using it for the last two months and I love it. It says that you will get high impact volume, length and definition and I would say it definitely delivers. At first it made my lashes a little bit clumpy but after a couple of weeks as the product dried up the clumps have stopped I feel like my eyelashes are looking incredible.

  • Drunk Elephant Rise + Glow

Travel sized duo of Drunk Elephants must have B-hydra Intensive Hydration Gel and C-Firma Day Serum.

Since Drunk Elephant recently landed in the UK it has been all over social media, so I decided I should finally try it out. Now I know that these products aren’t the cheapest and I was happy when my sister told me that they do travel sizes, which is an awesome way to test out a products and make sure your skin can handle it before spending a lot of money. I decided to try the Rise+Glow pack as I had been wanting to try vitamin c in my skincare for so long. First thing to mention is I love how much product you get out of these, as they both have lasted the whole month. You mix the products together and then rub into your face, once rubbed in your skin won’t feel tacky or sticky it leaves a lovely soft base for you to apply your makeup onto. My skin is looking the best it has in a long time so I am going to make sure I purchase the full size of these products.

  • Bondi Sands Everyday Liquid Gold

Since my Bali tan disappeared very quickly I decided I needed to start working on getting a natural looking tan for summer. I usually use the Bondi Sands Tanning Mouse but to be honest it’s a great product by so time consuming, so I was looking for a product that was going to be quick. My sister recommended that I try the Everyday Liquid Gold. I love how easy this product is to apply, all you need to do is spray it on and then rub it in. You don’t need to sit in it for two hours and then shower it off. I think this is the perfect self-tan that you can use if wanting to build a natural tan base. I recommend applying it twice a week.
