Morning Skincare Routine

With my sensitive skin, I like to keep my morning routine pretty simple, but I also like my base to be clean and hydrated before I apply my makeup. While on Roaccutane I kept my routine super basic as my skin got irritated by most things I would just use water and moisturiser, so it's nice getting back into using products xx

Step one:

Ren Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk

You will recognise this one from my night-time skin routine. I love using this cleanser in the morning as its so gentle but still removes any dirt that may have got on my skin while sleeping.

Step two:

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, herbs and Rose Water

A refreshing spray that smells of roses, a beautiful spray to wake up your skin with. You can't beat these, I also use it as a setting spray once I have applied my makeup. I keep one on my desk at work to freshen my face up during the day.

Step three:

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum

This is the best serum I have ever purchased! It's making my skin look so glowy and healthy! For the past year, I have heard so many good things about Vitamin C and its benefits, but I had to wait to I came off Roaccutane before trying them. Hands down for the price and quality of the product you can't beat this one by Drunk Elephant! It's also helping with my scarring and sun damage, which you can't see now, but I know will be there as the New Zealand sun is strong!! I really recommend that you find a vitamin C cream that works for you and add it to your skincare routine asap haha.

Step four:

Drunk Elephant B Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum

The best way to describe this serum is its pretty much a super hydrating gel, where a little goes a long well. It mixes in perfectly with the C-Firma Day Serum and leaves my skin feeling soft and well hydrated. Honestly, the perfect base to put my makeup onto. I feel like I am becoming obsessed with this range. Have you tried any of their products?

Step six:

Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SPT50+ Superscreen

The final and most important step in my skincare routine is sunscreen. I have been using this sunscreen for over a year now and am about to purchase my third bottle. My face has never been burnt while using it, even when on Roaccutane and travelling around South East Asia. The best thing is that its non-greasy so you don't feel like you have slathered your face in sunscreen. I also find that it gives you a beautiful base to put your makeup onto, so a lot of the time I just use it as a primer.
