Summer BBQ Look
Using the TOO FACED Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette.
I feel like this palette has been the best investment out of all the palettes I have purchased over the years. The looks that you can create are endless and since purchasing it in Sept I've used it nearly every day. You can create looks that are wearable for the office as well as make colourful dramatic looks. I thought today I would take you through my favourite look that I have been doing and getting lots of compliments on. The best thing is that it's super simple! Let me know what you think? and what is your go-to summer party look? xxx
I always start with my base. For me, I really battle dry skin, but hey I'm not complaining after my oily acne days. But as always I love a dewy flawless base so for me to achieve this I love using the MAC Strobe Cream, not only does this stuff make your skin look dewy, but it makes your makeup last all day....even in the summer heat. I know that some people use this as a highlighting product but I love using it all over the face.
Then its time for foundation. When I am attending parties I love to use a more medium coverage foundation, my go to this year has been the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. It goes on effortlessly to my dry skin and mixes perfectly with the MAC Strobe Cream. I like to use my fingers to apply it and then use a damp sponge to make sure it is truly blended in.
Before finishing my skin I like to do my eyes just in case there is any fallout but I haven't noticed any with this palette. I start with the NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, this stuff is AMAZING!! It's the best primer I have ever used, your eyeshadow will not budge even after a cardio workout at the gym. Its also been my go-to primer for the last five years, so that's really saying something. After applying the primer I then use MAC paintpot in painterly to give me a nude base.
Now its time to get into the palette. I start by applying Peach Meringue all over the lid, right up to the brow. Put Peach Cobbler into the crease and blend away and then you get to start adding the colour! Grab Peach Punch and place that on the outer corner of the eye and blend up into the crease. Lastly, grab Just Peachy and place that into the inner corner and blend away until all harsh lines are gone.
To finish off the eye look I take a bit of liquid liner along the lashline, I like to keep the line thin as its a day look. Then it's time to load up the mascara, get in as many coats as you can. At the moment I'm still loving the Hourglass Caution Mascara.
To finish the rest of the face I use Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil and the Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel on my eyebrows. To contour, I use the bronzer from the Hourglass IIIume Sheer Colour Trio. To make sure it all stays in place I pop on some Mecca Max Blur Veil Wet & Dry Powder Foundation then to add some more bronzer, which is the NATIO Pressed Powder Bronzer in Sunswept and lastly NARS blush in Orgasm and for a highlighter, a super affordable one from w7 called Glowcomotion.
Of course my usual lip combo Rimmel Lasting Finish Lip Liner in Blushing Nude and on top my NARS Lipstick in Raquel.
