July 2018 Beauty & Fashion Favourites

My fashion favourites this month have been really accessory-focused as I feel like in winter I just live in my jeans and turtlenecks. Pretty much just as many layers as possible. My beauty favourites have been a couple of new products that I have fallen in love with an then an old favourite that I had forgotten about.

Let's start with fashion;

1. Glassons Biker Boy Hat

I was so excited to see these hats coming back into fashion, reminds me of my Britney Spears days. I love wearing it casually on the weekend and then dressed up to work. One of the main benefits of wearing a hat is it saves you from washing your hair.

2. Glassons Belt

Glassons does the best accessories and this belt caught my eye as soon as I walked into the store. I love how its a statement piece and stands out nicely with a shirt tucked into your jeans, but also hides easily under tops.

3. ASOS Movement Leather Loafers

One day I hope to own the Gucci Loafers as I think they are worth the investment, but in the meantime, these will do. They are super comfy and easily dress up an outfit for work and they are perfect for being casual on the weekend. I love multi-use shoes!

Now its beauty time;

1. Hourglass Illume Sheer Colour Trio

This product is incredible. it defines, brightens and highlights your skin so you end up looking radidant. I have always stayed away from cream products and never contoured so this was a new experience for me. I find all three of these products easy to apply that a cream/contour novice like me can't make a mistake even on my very pale skin.

2. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

I have loved this palette since I got it a couple of years ago, eek is that gross? I have no idea how long eyeshadow lasts. All of the colours are easy to use as you can create a simple and elegant look for the day and then a dramatic and smokey look for the night. When I first got it I stuck to using Foxy, W.O.S and Naked, but this Winter I have been using Faint all over the lid and then Venus for the inner corner highlight. It's been my go-to look for work and it takes no time at all in the morning to do it. This palette is also the perfect size and colours for travel and the mirror doesn't get dirty.

3. Mecca Cosmetica Lit from Within Illuminating Primer

This primer is described as having an ultra-fine light-diffusing formula that revives dull skin, while perfectly priming the completion for a flawless foundation application. And I would agree with that description. My deeply dehydrated skin is instantly brightened and hydrated and I'm left with a dewy, moisturising and smooth base for my foundation. It easily goes on with my fingers and now I don't wear my foundation without.
