September 2018 Fashion & Beauty Favourites

The month of September was a busy one, I was back into work and no longer in the summer heat, which involved two things…getting back into playing with makeup and wearing warmer clothes.

Lets start with Fashion;

Oversized Roll Neck Knit Jumper in Tank Smoothie from Glassons

I spotted this turtleneck randomly on the Glassons website and knew that I had to get it. The blush colour is lovely and not a colour that I would usually wear. I love how its an oversized fit, which makes it super comfy and on a really cold day gives you the room to layer clothes underneath it. Ive been pairing this with my black jeans and sneakers with the front slightly tucked in and then if I need to dress it up I just chuck on a pair of heels.

Ballet Mules in Sams Lippy from Glassons

After getting these mules I feel that every lady needs a pair of red shoes in her closet. I know that I am going to get so much wear out of these this spring and summer and I must admit its nice to be wearing a bit of colour on my feet. I love how these have the rounded toe, which makes them really comfortable to wear.

Bamboo Blonde Necklace

I am in love with the layering of necklaces look at the moment, like most people haha and saw this one in Bali and loved that it wasn’t silver. I love how this necklace dresses up an outfit and instantly makes a plan t-shirt look more chic and polished. Since I’m starting to favour gold a lot more Im hoping to treat myself to some Missoma pieces shortly and start creating my own layering look.

Time for beauty

Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matter Eyeshadow Palette

As soon as I soon this palette in the Mecca Cosmetica Newsletter I knew I had to have it, one reason being as I don’t have anything similar in my current makeup collection. The colours are all matte apart from Peach Sangia which has a slight bit of shimmer running through it. The colours are beautiful and they pay off in incredible on the lid, also they are so easy to blend. The benefit of this palette is that you can create so many different looks, you can do some night looks and day looks and its nice having some colour on my lids at work that is still appropriate. My go to work colours are Peach Tea in the crease, Peach Punch on the outer corner and Just Peachy all over the lid.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Raquel

This lipstick has a gorgeous satin and creamy finish that glides on your lips but is still very pigmented in colour. Honestly you get full coverage lipstick in one stroke! As soon as the makeup artist put Raquel on my lips I knew it would become my new everyday nude lipstick.

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Warm Blonde

This brow pencil is amazing it makes my brows look natural and lasts all day. It has a really interesting texture thats part gel and part powder and when combined with with the Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel your brows will look amazing, mine are the best they have ever looked. A perk with this pencil is that it also has a spooky on the end, handy as you always need to brush through your brows
