2018 Beauty Favourites

It's always exciting to look back at the last year and see what products I'm still loving especially after spending half of the year on Roaccutane. So the first half of the year my skin was super dry and sensitive so I had to be super careful about what products I used, I couldn't even wear half of my makeup but after finishing my journey with Roaccutane I'm back to being able to play with all my makeup and back to wearing lipstick, woohoo! I have found that my skin is still dry so my key focus is still hydration so bare that in mind with my product recommendations.

I would love to know if you have used any of my favourites? Would they of the made your favourite list? xx

Let's start with skincare:

Eye Makeup Remover:

Simple Cleansing Oil, this stuff is super affordable and does the job. Also super good at removing waterproof mascara.

REN Evercalm Cleansing Milk, perfect for really sensitive skin. A cleanser that my skin is still loving after it becoming my savoir while on Roaccutane.

Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner, I use this toner at night and my skin is loving it. Keeps my skin nice and smooth and I feel like it stops me from breaking out.

Facial Spray:

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater, this facial spray smells so yummy and I love using it in the morning to wake up my skin. I also keep one on my desk at work to give my skin a freshen up.

Moisturiser Day:

REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream, perfect for sensitive skin. Leaves my skin feeling nice and hydrated and a good base for makeup.

Moisturiser Night:

VOEU Day Cream, I know its for the day but hey, I’m loving it for night time. It’s a thick cream that I love to slather on all over my face and neck and then I just absorb it while sleeping, so far, I’m impressed but I am still hunting for the perfect night cream.

Eye Cream:

Voeu Eye Cream, still on the hunt for the perfect eye cream, but this one is doing a great job at keeping the eye area hydrated and looking after some eye wrinkles.

Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SuperScreen SPF50+, best face SPF I have used so far, I've been repurchasing it for the last two years. My face has never been burnt using this even when I was on roaccuante and super sensitive to sun. I also love the base it gives you to put your makeup onto.

Day Serum:

Drunk Elephant C Firma Day Serum, there is so much hype around this product and to be honest it's well deserved. Since adding this into my morning routine my skin is looking incredible and my acne scarring is healing!

Night Serum:

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, a very expensive but lovely product. Has helped with my scarring and honesty my skin feels incredible in the morning.

Hydrating Mask:

MEDI HEAL N.M.F Sheet Mask, this is my favourite sheet mask, my skin feels amazing afterwards . I try to do one once a week.

Peel Mask:

Arbonne Cellular Renewal Masque, this peel is strong and I only use it once a month, but it has helped with the scarring on my cheeks. My advice is to get your skin used to it before leaving it on for long.

Now it's time for beauty:

MAC Strobe Cream, I love the dewy look this gives my very dry skin. I use it as a primer all over my face, but I know that it can also be used as a highlighter in certain areas.

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, if you are after a good coverage that will last all day at work I highly recommend this one. I love how I could put it on at 7am for work and then continue wearing it out to after work drinks without having to slab on a whole lot more makeup.

Tinted Moisturiser:

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser, my go to product for my skin on the weekend. I love how it adds a bit of colour to my skin and gives me that dewy finish. As my acne scarring is starting to clear up I also feel like I'm starting to gravitate towards this product over my fuller coverage foundation.

Mecca Max Blur Veil Wet & Dry Powder Foundation, this is such a super affordable powder that actually does a good job.

NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer, I love using this concealer under my eyes and on my acne scarring. It doesn't crease and covers everything pretty damn well.

Eye Primer:

NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, I have been using this one for years, its simply the best! Even after a run my eyeshadow and liner is still on point even when rest of the face isn't.

Brow Pencil:

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, super easy to use and love that it has a brush on the end.

Brow Gel:

Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel, love pairing this with their brow pencil. Easy to use brush and the fiber's make your brow hair look thicker.

Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette, since purchasing this product I haven't been able to put it down. You can make so many different eye looks with it and for how many colours you get it's worth the price.

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer, I'm not a huge fan of contour but I do like using a bit of the less on the cheeks. Since its matte I feel like it does a pretty good job.

Benefit Watts Up, a really nice everyday highlighter.

Natio Sunswept Bronzer, love this bronzer. It has a bit of shimmer to it, but I love the colour that it gives to my skin.

NARS Blush in Orgasm. I only purchased this mid 2018 and I have already hit pan, which shows how much I love it since I hardy ever use up a blush. A nice natural flush to the skin.

Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara, this bad boy gives you thick long lashes!

Lip Balm:

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, the only thing that made my lips survive the roaccutane battle.

Lip Liner:

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lip Liner in Blushing Nude. The best nude lip liner I have found. Already on my second one.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Raquel, this quickly became my go to lipstick for work, pairs perfectly with my Rimmel lip liner.
